ST. CHRISTOPHER CLUB GROUP SUGGESTIONS
Mr. X's Shiggidy Shack, Regge Bar, Shipwreck Bar and Grill
St. Kitts boasts some of the best food in the Caribbean, so much so that the cooking talent spills onto the beaches and finds its way into the beach bars. Mr. X's Shiggidy Shack is a popular hot spot, however, get there early on a Thursday, which holds a beach bonfire and their very own resident "Fire Eater". Friday and Saturday are also worth mentioning, especially for those budding "Idol" fans as the bar comes alive with the sounds of Karaoke. Mr. X's is probably the most popular place on Frigate Bay's strip of beach bars and restaurants.
Reggae Bar is a bit of a trek to the end of the south east peninsula, but the Friday buffet is truly worth it. Make sure you leave ample space, you'll want to go back for seconds and thirds. During the day Reggae offers a protected cove for swimmers and has plenty to do for those looking for water sports.
Shipwreck is the most popular beach bar in Friar's Bay. Shipwreck looks like the crew of a ship crashed on the beach and decided to set up shop, offering all the best drinks the Caribbean has to offer.
Sweet Lime, Ciao, La Belle Vie
Porte Zante has a lot to offer, but try finding a great restaurant. While there may be good restaurants, we consider Sweet Lime to be the only great restaurant. Everything on their menu is spectacular and worth trying.
Ciao Restaurant makes their pasta fresh, by hand, every day. A fantastic restaurant for business dinners, romantic dinners or even family dinners. Ciao Restaurant is the only restaurant on St. Kitts with authentic Italian food.
La Belle Vie is located in the Scenic Frigate Bay area, newly opened, it is the only French cuisine restaurant on the island of St. Kitts. Since it's opening, in April 2009, La Belle Vie has been able to build a fantastic reputation and has attracted a crowd of French food lovers, along with individuals who are willing to give the new taste a try.
Zip Lines, Ottley's Plantation, Rain Forest Hikes, Catamaran Trips, Brimestone Hill Fortress
Much of the Caribbean has lost, ignored or forgotten many of its historic sites yet St. Kitts strives to hold on to theirs. With the UNESCO World Heritage site that is Brimstone Hill Fortress to the private ownership of Ottley's Plantation Hotel and Restaurant. St. Kitts is proud of its heritage and makes every effort to preserve it. Both sites are in great condition and we highly suggest at least visiting them once, you won't be disappointed.
St. Kitts also protected its rain forests and the trails to the volcano, with Greg's Safari just one of the many tour guides that provide safe and professional tours to some of the most remote places on the island. Being a local, born and raised, he has a great depth of knowledge on the history of the island as well as the fauna and wildlife of St. Kitts.
For those looking for a more adventurous vacation, we highly suggest either the catamaran trip or the zip line. There are many catamaran companies on the island that take their passengers on an exciting voyage up and down the western coast of St. Kitts with some offering a beach BBQ in Nevis.
The zipline course consists of one trainer line, 180ft long, followed by four larger zipline, lengths from 500ft to 1,350 ft. This tour strives to unite eco-adventure with St. Kitts interpretive knowledge.
